Quality Inn & Suites

This is one of the most beautiful and comfortable hotels I've ever stayed in, far exceeding more expensive hotels from the past. The decor is of an old hunting lodge, the furniture is adorable and all made of natural wood! This hotel has a homey but at the same time up to date and modern feel. Just the lobby alone is so gorgeous. Breakfast was excellent. The beds were super comfortable. The room was clean and smelled wonderful and the staff went over and above to help me with accommodating my handicaps. I can't say enough nice things about the gentleman who greeted us when we arrived very late, nor the very sweet woman who checked us out the next morning. Everyone on staff was so pleasant to us. And the soundproofing! Once we were in our room, we didn't hear another sound until we left it the next morning! Last but not least, the views. This is the Appalachian mountains at their finest. And the price for all this was far less than I would have expected if I had seen the hotel first. I visit this area of the country frequently and I will be staying at the Quality Inn and Suites again and again! Thank you for the most pleasant aspect of our trip!

The staff were extremely friendly and efficient. The hotel has a rustic feel, it is very nice. The bed was very comfortable. It snowed overnight while I was there, and the parking lot was cleaned off before I woke up. Overall, it was a great experience.

The pillows!!!!! They were so comfortable. We had stayed there before visiting family and had a great experience. The decor and the very friendly staff made the stay even better. I highly recommend staying there.

The breakfast was wonderful each morning. The entire motel was exceptionally clean and always smelled good. The staff were warm and friendly. We were especially impressed with the free pizza dinner on Tuesday night for all the guests! What a great surprise and a treat! I've never been to a motel that offered a free pizza dinner before!

The breakfast was excellent - food quality & options were above similar breakfasts offered by comparable hotels. Staff - from the courteous & friendly desk clerk at our arrival, to breakfast staff, to cleaning personnel & including the front desk manager at checkout were delightful, professional, & helpful! Just to add, the hotels decor (while staff commented the structure was built perhaps 20 years) was representative of hotels that are newly built. Furnishings (most made from Hickory) were perfect for the Big Stone Gap area & every room & area of the hotel was so very nicely appointed. Historical photos added unexpected but dramatic perspective to the local area & its history. Terrific.
